EP 3 — Rachael Lubin: The Gap Is Yours to Fill

Rachael Lubin didn't set out to become a nonprofit founder. She set out to do her job well. But in April 2020, when the pandemic exposed just how little protection existed for childcare workers, she looked at the gap — and decided it was hers to fill. Today, Rachael is a Certified Professional Governess, a full-charge nanny with nearly a decade of continuous placement experience, a founding board member of the Nanny Relief Fund, and the 2026 INA Nanny of the Year. In this conversation, we talk about what it actually takes to do this work with excellence, what she saw in those early pandemic days that made action unavoidable, and what she hopes the Nanny of the Year platform makes possible for the profession she has spent her career building up.
